Obituary

James R. Miller, 45 years, formerly of Avon and Brockton, died unexpectedly July 5, 2003, at his home in Lauderhill, FL. He was born in Dorchester, a son of the late Boyd T. and Patricia A. (Joyce) Miller. He was raised and educated in Avon, a graduate of Avon High School, class of 1976. For many years he had been employed as a machinist by the Gillette Company in Boston and the Portal Metal Company in Avon, prior to relocating to Florida.

He is survived by his daughter Ashley, five brothers John Miller of Colorado Springs, CO, Timothy Miller of Brockton, Thomas Miller of Bridgewater, Robert Miller of California, Russell Miller of Avon, two sisters Patricia Kelley of Norton, Alice Miller of Dorchester, his godchild Colleen (Kelley) Simmons and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Miller.A memorial mass will be held in St. Michael’s Church, Avon, Friday at 9am. Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Avon.
