O'Neil of Brockton October 4, 2003 James H. O'Neil, 75 years.He will be sorely missed by his wife Dorothy J. (Coscia) O'Neil,his daughters, Doris J. Collins of Bridgewater and Sharon A. Payneof Virginia, his grandchildren, Stacy A., Jackie A. and Lori A. Collins and Joshua Payne and his four great grandchildren.

Funeral Service in the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 10:30 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 pm.

Obituary

Mr. O'Neil died Saturday morning at the Goddard Rehabilitation in Stoughton after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cambridge and raised in West Roxbury, the son of the late Herbert and Caroline (Souza) O'Neil. He has been a Brockton resident for the past 27 years and previously lived in East Boston.

He retired from Merchant Marine and Coast Guard.He had been employed as a shipper and receiver at the Copley Pharmaceuticals in Canton for ten years until his retirement.

He was an avid gardener

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy J. (Coscia) O'Neil.two daughters, Doris J. Collins of Bridgewater and Sharon A. Payne of Virginia, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren
