James P. Pagani, age 65, of Stoughton, formerly of Brockton, died July 6, 2015 at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Jennie (DiCarli) Pagani. Jimmy’s life was full and enriched by the wonderful people who cared for him. He always showed his love and appreciation for the staff at both his group home of 28 years in Stoughton and his day rehabilitation program in Norton. He was also very close to his family and enjoyed attending family functions and holidays, and eating all that “good food”. As a lover of all Boston sports teams, he enjoyed traveling with his group home family to attend many Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins and Brockton Rox games. He met and had a photo taken with Patriot’s player Matt Chatham. He loved to participate in his music therapy sessions and would strum the guitar and sing along. He also enjoyed painting at the Fuller Art Museum, the outdoors, bird watching, and was a member of the Sons of Italy.
Some of Jimmy’s favorite things were magnets, pinwheels, good food, watching movies, the color red, and hanging out with “the guys” especially his twin brother Tony.
Jimmy was the brother of Anthony A. Pagani and his wife Patricia of Brockton, Adele Stevens and her husband Al of Greenfield, Andrea Amato and her husband Frank of Amesbury, Micki Guisti and her husband Billy of Long Island, NY, Judith Nye of N. Carolina and the late Joanne Pagani. He is also survived by his aunt Emma Pagani of Falmouth, and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Jimmy will have a special place within our hearts
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday 9-11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in Jimmy’s name to the ALS Association, Gift Processing Center, PO Box 6051, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
