Obituary

Jane J. Illingworth age 74 of Brockton died Monday June 14, 2021 at Sachem Center for Health and Rehab after a battle with breast cancer. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Chester and Daisy (Duff) Illingworth.

She was a 1965 graduate of Brockton High School and was a nurse’s aide in a Taunton nursing home. Jane lived in Taunton for many years before moving back to Brockton twenty years ago, residing in the Campello High-rise.

Jane loved her two dogs, Elvis and listening to rock & roll music. She was also an avid reader.

Jane was the sister of Theodora Bourassa of E. Bridgewater, Dorothy Casieri and her husband Frank of Wilmington, NC and Marguerite Augustine, wife of the late Albert of Middleboro. She was the aunt of Bob Bourassa of Manassas, VA; Terri-Ann Bourassa of E. Bridgewater, Paul Casieri of Leland, NC; Wayne Augustine of Middleboro, Chris Casieri of Titusville, NJ and the late Francis “Frank” Casieri and Patricia “Milkweed” Augustine.

Burial will be held at Coweeset Cemetery on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jane’s name to NAMI-National Alliance on Mental Illness, 529 Main Street Suite 1M17, Boston, MA 02129.
