Janet M. DePasquale Janet M. DePasquale , 67, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 surrounded by her family at the Hearthstone Alzheimer Care, Brockton after a period of failing health. Born February 8, 1944 in Norwood, MA she was a daughter of the late Joseph DePasquale and Mary (Jennetta) DePasquale. Her parents were both first generation Italian immigrants. Janet was raised and educated in Brockton. She was a cheerleader at the North Junior High School, a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1962, and the Chandler School for Women in 1964. Janet was very close with her friends from school, Debbie and Loraine. After graduation she attended secretarial school and got a job as an administrative assistant in Boston. She eventually moved into payroll. For many years she worked in Boston, living in the North End and Everett. She later bought a house and moved back to Brockton. Janet loved to travel, loved pets, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She was a devoted catholic and was very proud to be Italian. She is survived by her brother, Joseph DePasquale and his wife Linda of Brockton; her niece and two nephews, Melissa and Shawn DePasquale both of Brockton and Joseph DePasquale of Carver. She was the great-aunt of Allison Smallwood. Janet's family would like to thank all of the staff at the Hearthstone Alzheimer Care in Brockton for all of there devoted care they provided. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Wednesday, April 20th at 10:00am thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 11:00am. Interment will be private. Calling hours in the Russell Pica Funeral Home Tuesday 4:00-8:00pm.
