Obituary

Janet E. (Darcy) Gallasch, age 84, of West Bridgewater, died unexpectedly, October 23, 2020 at Brockton Hospital. She was the former wife of the late Rolf Gallasch. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Marion (Coleman) Darcy. Janet was raised and educated in Milton. She was a hard worker with a strong work ethic and was employed at Raytheon, Etonic and Ward Chiropractic before she retired. For over 30 years she was a resident of Matfield Woods in West Bridgewater.

Janet was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Whitman Post 697 VFW, and West Bridgewater Senior Center. She also enjoyed golfing, knitting and crocheting, trips to Ireland and cruises.

Janet was the devoted mother of Edwin C. Eifler and his wife Patricia of Valrico, FL and Kimberly A. Young and her partner April Lima of Taunton. She was the grandmother of Shontel Willie, Edwin Eifler, Jr. and Anthony Eifler and great grandmother of Connor and CJ Willie. She is also survived by her sister Patricia DeRosa of S. Dennis and longtime companion Russ Carter of Harwich.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, October 31, in Pine Hill Cemetery, 483 North Main Street, West Bridgewater at 10:30 am.
