Jason A. Gould, 46, of Middleboro, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, after a courageous battle and two lung transplants due to duty related conditions while serving on the City of Brockton Fire Department.
Jason was born on July 8, 1978 in South Weymouth; he was the beloved son of Dennis J. Gould (retired Captain BFD) and Sandra L. (Sloat) Gould. He graduated from Middleboro High School in 1996.
Jason entered the Unites States Navy in 2002, becoming a Gunners Mate, he served in the Naval Special Warfare Command Team, Mobile Security, in Bahrain securing ports for United States Military Vessels to enter and depart safely until 2010.
Jason then went to EMT School where he was first in his class and became a paramedic. The later went to City of Brockton Fire Department Academy where he also was first in his class.
He was a 4th generation Firefighter for the City of Brockton beginning in 2012 until recently retiring due to his declining health. During his time on the Fire Department, he mainly was stationed at STA #4, Crescent Street, on the East Side where he was known for being a awesome chef.
He was a hands-on type of guy who loved older cars and repairing them, welding pieces of metal together to make a go-cart and especially making furniture and doing cabinetry.
If Jason considered you a friend and you were 'down and out', he would offer shelter, financial help and unconditional love and support
