Online Obituaries Jean A. Herbert, age 68 years, of Bridgewater, died unexpectedly at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Saturday, December 22, 2012. Born August 25, 1944 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. Herbert and Monica J. (McLaughlin) Herbert of Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, Ireland. Jean was a 1962 graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School. After graduation from Aquinas Jr. College in Milton, Jean worked at Stonehill College and retired as an Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools in Brockton. Her travelling took her to many US States as well as to Bermuda, Canada, the Bahamas and Europe; she especially enjoyed Italy and Ireland. She loved cooking, going to the gym, water aerobics, reading, knitting, doing crossword puzzles and cryptograms. Jean was the cherished sister of Eileen C. Herbert with whom she lived. In addition to her sister, Jean leaves many cousins and countless friends. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday at 8:30AM thence to St. Ann's Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM.
