Online Obituaries Jean S. McLaren, 65, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2012. She was born in Port Limon, Costa Rica where she later attended Colegio De Limon and met her husband of 47 years, Stanley McLaren. The couple had a son and daughter before immigrating to the United States where they then had three more boys. Jean received her B.A. from University of Massachusetts, Boston, to later become a social worker for the the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance. A vivacious woman, she enjoyed politics, reading, cooking and caring for everyone around her. Jean is survived by her husband, children; Stanley, Monica, Ariff, Avalon and Dammon,and 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 17 at 11:00am at the Dominion Christian Church, 758 Crescent St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Pearl Street, Brockton. Calling hours in the Dominion Christian Church on Friday from 10-11 am prior funeral service.
