Jean Marie Alberto Pierre was born November 28, 1935, eldest of six siblings, Adam, Roger, Jean, Dieudone, Nanotte, and Daniel. Jean Alberto went on to become a dedicated orthopedic technician and loving family man, he passed away peacefully at home, at the age of 88 on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Jean Alberto overcame many obstacles to lead a fulfilling life marked by service, skill, and deep devotion to his family.
Jean Alberto graduated from St. Vincent School for the Blind and Deaf, where he specialized in orthopedics, a field he passionately worked in for many years. His career as a technician in orthopedics and prosthetics allowed him to impact countless lives, helping others regain mobility and independence through his expertise and care.
In 1958, Jean Alberto married the love of his life, Lucienne Desrolaux. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared a life full of love, dedication, and respect. Jean Alberto was known for his many talents and was a "Jack of all trades," equally adept with puzzles, photography, mathematics, and practical handiwork.
Jean Alberto was known not only for his technical skills but also for his sharp sense of humor and resilience. Despite the challenges he faced in life, he never wanted to be seen as weak or defined by his disabilities. Instead, he used humor as a way to uplift those around him.
Jean Alberto is survived by his ex-wife, Lucienne, brother Daniel, and his cherished children: Chantal Duverneau, Sadrac Pierre, Margarette Jeannoel, Elsie Pierre, Jackson Paul Pierre, and Elizabeth Michel. He is also lovingly remembered by his 18 nieces and nephews, his grandchildren Chantaine Contant, Sadrac (Sadage) Pierre Jr., Pushka, Cordleen, Sadell Pierre, Stephanie Pierre, Tashika Pierre, Wesley Jeannoel, Andy Dumoulin, Sarah Dumoulin, Kevin Michel, Elijah Michel, and Mya Michel, and his great-grandchild, Saint Pierre.
Jean Alberto's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched as an orthopedic technician, and a loving father. His family will forever treasure his remarkable life, which was a testament to perseverance, skill, and a love for life's intricate beauty.
Children: Chantal Duvernea, Sadrac Pierre, Margarette Jeannoel, Elsie Pierre, Jackson Paul Pierre, Betty Pierre, Elizabeth Michel.
In-laws: Pierre-Antonie, Gerald, Willner, Rose, Gerda, Nirva, Marjorie, and Max, all of whom cherished his warmth and wisdom.
And many other special people who have contributed to his life and care.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 12th from 9:00-11:00 AM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., Brockton, followed by a funeral service to celebrate Jean Alberto's life at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those he cherished most.
