Jean Lugenia Trammel passed away Monday, May 22, 2023 at her home in Brockton.

Jean was born on August 20, 1935, in Newnan Georgia, to George Willie Stokes and Sara Frances Smith. She was the second eldest child of seven siblings: Mr. Clifford King, Marguerita King, Julia King and Maggie Domineck of Newnan Georgia. Two siblings pre-deceased her in death: Fannie Mae James and John Lee Smith.

She is survived by her children: Jennifer (Doug) Cherry, Francine Bernard, Raymond (Claudia) Trammel, William Douglas Trammel, Glen Eric Trammel, Victoria (Derrick) Robinson, Eugene Harris and (Bonita Stokes). Her adopted sons by name, Habib Davis and Barrington H. Malcolm. She is pre-deceased by son, Charles Stokes. She also leaves behind, thirty-five grandchildren, forty-Six great-grandchildren, and one great- great-grandchild. Jean (Lugenia) Trammel was our mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her wings were ready, but our hearts were not. We will miss her dearly.

Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (rt123) Brockton on Saturday, June 3rd from 11:00AM-1:00PM followed by a funeral service in the Funeral Home at 1:00PM.  Private cremation will follow.
