July 8, 1929 – March 18, 2025
Jeanne C. (Taylor) Roscoe, of West Bridgewater, passed away March 18, 2025 at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater, at the age of 95. Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Jeanne was born in Brockton MA on July 8, 1929. She attended Brockton High School, where she met her future husband Norman. They graduated together in 1947. Jeanne attended Boston University for 1 year, and graduated from Bridgewater State College in 1951 with a degree in Elementary Education. She became a school teacher and taught for 35 years, mostly second grade.
Jeanne often said that she loved to teach. Other things that Jeanne did for fun included playing contract bridge with friends, caning chairs, singing at her church in the choir and solo and trio, camping with her family at Sebago Lake in Maine, and going on trips with her teacher friends.
Jeanne is preceded in death by her father Kleber Taylor, mother Ruth Taylor, brother Charles Taylor, husband Norman Roscoe, and son Brian Roscoe. Jeanne is survived by her sister Berle Lombardi of Bridgewater MA, sons David W. Roscoe of North Andover, Mark Roscoe of Buzzards Bay, Charles Roscoe of Norfolk VA, daughter-in-law Sin-Hwee (Goh) Roscoe of Houston TX, brother-in-law David E. Roscoe, sister-in-law Harriet (Roscoe) Foster, 3 grandchildren, and other extended family.
The family would like extend their gratitude to the staff of LifeCare Center of West Bridgewater for their compassionate care shown to Jeanne and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Bridgewater Community Church, 83 North Elm Street, West Bridgewater, MA 02379.
A small, private service for Jeanne will be held in early April. A larger, public service will be held in June.
