Obituary

Jeffrey L. Burgess 51 years of Brockton died suddenly December 26, 2008 at Brockton Hospital. Born and raised in Brockton he was the son of Claire A. (McDonnell) Burgess of Weymouth and the late Robert F. Burgess Sr. Jeff worked as a machinist for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, playing pool, visiting the ocean and walking in the White Mountains, as well as playing basketball and board games with his children. He will be remembered as a very loving and caring person.
In addition to his mother, he will be extremely missed by his five beloved children Jeffrey, Emily, Amber, Kelsey and Alexis Burgess all of Braintree. He was the brother of Diane Parsons of Braintree; Sherry Hammond of Weymouth; Glenn Burgess of Melbourne, FL; Scott Burgess of Weymouth; and Marty Burgess of Brockton who was not only his brother but best friend and constant companion; and the late Bobby and Gary Burgess. He leaves many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his former wife Linda (Hamman) Burgess, and he will continue to remain the love of her life.

A Graveside Service will be held at the family lot in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton Monday, January 5, 2009 at 10am.
