Online Obituaries Jerilyn A. "Jeri" (Mignault) Celia, 66, of Brockton, passed away Thursday morning, May 30, 2013 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a serious bout with Lupus. She was the beloved wife of Nicholas V. Celia, Jr. (Retired Brockton Police Officer). Born December 29, 1946 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Victor Mignault and Vera (Hathaway) Mignault. Jeri graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner, Maine. Jeri worked at Howard Johnson's and then worked for over 30 years at Plymouth-Home National Bank in Brockton. She then retired from the City of Brockton's Building Department. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed bowling, bingo, sewing, knitting, baking and playing jokes. She also played slow-pitch softball where she was the pitcher of the City Championship Team with a 19-0 record. Jeri was an inspiration to her family, friends and others as she courageously fought her disease. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nicholas V. Celia, Jr. of Brockton; her loving children, Steven N. Celia and his wife Rita of Bridgewater and Robert J. Celia and his wife Stacey of Brockton; her adored grandchildren, Anthony, Joseph, Megan and Matthew; her sister, Judith Sylvia and her husband William of Middleboro; her father-in-law, Nicholas V. Celia of Brockton; her sister-in-law, Michelle O'Shaughnessy and her husband David of Brockton. She is also survived by many beloved cousins and family. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday, June 3rd at 9:00AM thence to Christ the King Parish, 42 Wendell Ave., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM.
