Jerry W. Duquette, 84, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, March 26, 2021 under the care of his family and hospice after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Theresa M. (Meagher) Duquette for 60 years.
Born in Brockton on August 1, 1936 he was the son of the late Wilfred Duquette and Vivian (George) Duquette. Jerry was a golden glove in the United States Marine Corps while serving in the Korean War.
Jerry worked for the United States Post Office for 39 years before retiring.
An avid lover of all sports, Jerry coached city league softball for 40 years, as well as played in many leagues.
Jerry was the patriarch of his family. His main priorities were his two sons and three grandsons. He would help anyone in his family without question or judgement and was one of the kindest and purest souls to walk this earth.
He is survived by his sons Michael Duquette and Erik Duquette and his wife Stacey; grandsons Zackary Duquette, Camden Duquette and Lucas Duquette; brothers Francis "Frank" Duquette and Dale Duquette; sisters Kathleen Duquette Gibbons, Sharon Duquette-VanAuken and Yvonne Shea; and 34 nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Wilfred Duquette, Richard Duquette, Bruce Duquette, Mark Duquette, Jeffry Duquette, Elizabeth Huxley, Beverly Shennett and Judith Duquette.
Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rt.123), Brockton on Thursday, April 1st from 3:00-7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton on Friday, April 2nd at 11:00 AM.

All visitors will be able to greet family members from a safe distance but not able to touch.
