Jesse Drane, Sr. Jesse Drane, Sr. , 77, of Cocoa, Florida, formerly of Brockton, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Wuesthoff Medical Center in Rockledge, Florida after a lengthy illness. He was the wife of Catherine L. (Harris) Drane for 50 years. Born May 14, 1930 in Americus, Georgia, he was the son of the late Fred Drane and Willie Pearl (Carter) Drane. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived in Brockton for over 40 years where he worked in local shoe factories. He also worked as a custodian for Brockton Schools and he retired from the Brockton Highway Department after 20 years. He resided in Cocao, Florida for the last eight years. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Catherine L. (Harris) Drane of Cocoa, Florida; his children, Carnethia M. Drane of Florida, Launice L. Drane of Georgia, Jesse Drane, Jr. (Brockton Police Department) and his wife Lillian of Brockton, Jerome Drane and his wife Jackie of Uxbridge, Jody Drane and his wife Wendy of Florida; his siblings, Sally Green of Boston, Kate Russell of Brockton, Henry Drane of Ohio; he is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also brother of the late Olamae Gaines, JD "Buddy" Drane, Willie Drane, Felton Brooks, and Mamie Drane. Funeral Information Funeral Services were private.
