Obituary

Joan W. (Fortier) Hunnewell age 82, of Brockton died Friday July 9, 2010 at the Guardian Center after a lengthy illness. Joan was born and raised in Brockton a daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Torrey) Fortier and remained a lifelong resident of the city. For many years she lived at Crescent Court and on Hill Street. Joan loved Bingo and playing the daily number. She was very family oriented and was the caretaker of her large family.
Joan was the loving and devoted mother of Leo V. Hunnewell, Jr. of Brockton; Kathleen Marvill of Bridgewater; Joanne Lincoln of West Bridgewater; Deborah O’Brien of East Bridgewater and Elaine Hunnewell of Brockton. She leaves 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of Shirley Lee of Brockton and the late Robert Fortier, Elaine Connors and Marjorie Morano. She was the former wife of the late Leo V. Hunnewell, Sr.
Following cremation private family services will be held in Melrose Cemetery.
