Obituary

Joan M. Picanzo, age 70, of Brockton, died January 2, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late John M. and Mary (Coccimiglio) Picanzo, she was a graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed in Customer Service at HarborOne and Crescent Credit Union, retiring in 2000. Joan loved to travel to California and Las Vegas and was especially fond of her trip to Italy after her kidney transplant. She also enjoyed trips to Nantasket Beach, playing Bingo at Foxwoods, dining out with friends and family and country music. Joan was a 3rd degree Black Belt in Karate.

Joan was the sister of James Picanzo and Sandra Picanzo both of Brockton; aunt of John and Michael Picanzo, Jenna Rudolph and great aunt of Andrew and John Picanzo and Liam Rudolph. Special to her were her dogs Molly and Bruno.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, January 10, 4-6pm, followed by a funeral service at 6pm. Burial will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.
