Joao Barros Barbosa Joao Barros Barbosa , 41, of Brockton, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at the Brockton Hospital. Born July 10, 1965 in Fogo, Cape Verde, he was the son of Leonor (Carolino) Barbosa and the late Joao Barbosa. He was raised in Fogo, Cape Verde where he worked as a teacher. He had been a Brockton resident for 15 years. He is survived by his children, Nancy Stephanie Barbosa and Josie Andrade Barbosa; his mother, Leonor (Carolino) Barbosa; his siblings Maria L. Barbosa, Audelia Andrade, Zulmira Barbosa, Graciete Barbosa Amado, Lia Barbosa, Raul Barbosa, Dulce Barbosa Spinola, Arnaldo Barbosa, Landa Barbosa Tavares ; his close companion Maria Andrade; he is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of Eugenia Barros Barbosa. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Monday, June 18th at 9:00AM thence to St. Edith Stein Parish/St. Edwards Church, 71 East Main St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be held for the repose of his soul at 10:00AM.
