Joao L. Depina Joao L. Depina , 48, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Born September 6, 1965 in Brava, Cabo Verde he was the son of the late Joao and Maria Depina. He enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his siblings, Virgilio Depina, Alberto Depina, Manuel Lopes, Carlos Lopes, Antonio Depina, Maria Dos Santos all of Brockton and Isabel Fortes of New Bedford. He was also the brother of the late Jose Depina. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St.,(Rt.123) Brockton on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 8:00AM followed by a funeral Mass at 9:00AM in St. Edith Stein Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
