Joao S. Santos Joao Silva Santos, 88, of Brockton, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at his home in Brockton. He was the husband of Maria Jose Santos. Born October 27, 1923 in Brava, Cape Verde, he was the son of the late Manuel dos Santos and Cacilda Silva Santos. Mr. Santos was a retired International Merchant Marine and a Manufacturer at Brockton Sole Plastic. He enjoyed traveling, music and entertainment. He is survived by his wife, Maria Jose Santos; his children, Maria Euridice Martins, Cacilda Gomes, Joao B. Santos and Julio M. Santos; his grandchildren, Olavo Gomes, Valdir Gomes, Claudio Martins, Claudia Martins, Adelmar Martins, Erickson Santos and Jaison Santos; his great granddaughter, Eliana. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, January 3rd at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Edith Stein/St. Edward Parish, 71 East Main St., Brockton at 9:00AM.
