Obituary

Joel D. Goodwin, age 45, died at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by his family. He was the devoted husband of Jessica (Scully) Goodwin, loving dad of Ramon, Victoria and Grace and grandfather of Valentina. He was the brother of Adam Goodwin, Aaron DeSilva and his wife Michelle, Meghan DeSilva and Erika Madden and her husband Mark. He also leaves many treasured cousins, nieces and nephews.

Joel was born in Attleboro, the son of the late David and Dyan (Levesque) Goodwin and raised in Raynham. He was a 1997 graduate of Bridgewater/Raynham High School and worked for many years in Brockton in the hospitality trade at Owen O’Leary’s and more recently the Plainridge Casino.

Joel loved golfing, fishing and cooking for his family. He will be remembered as a prankster who was goofy. Joel was a selfless, loyal, determined friend who always had a smile on his face. Most importantly he cherished his time with his family.
Visitation for Joel will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street, Brockton from 4-7pm. From 7-8 pm family and friends will have the time to share memories of Joel with each other.
