Johanna Willemsen, aged 89, of Brockton, MA, passed away on February 13, 2024. She was born on August 1, 1934, in Makassar, Indonesia.

Johanna known for her friendly, and kind demeanor, will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She had a fulfilling life as a Mother and career as a Home Health Aide. In her free time, she found joy in gardening, cooking, visiting the casino, and trying her luck with lottery scratch tickets.

Johanna is survived by her brother, Herman Giezenberg in the Netherlands, her son, Jim Willemsen, and her daughter, Ellen Willemsen.

Johanna was also cherished by many family and friends in the Netherlands and in the United States.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Andre Giezenberg.

Her husband Richard Willemsen and her daughter, Debby Willemsen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 3 - 5pm at Russell & Pica in Brockton, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Old Colony Hospice.
