Obituary

John J. Adukonis John J. Adukonis , 91, of Brockton, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. Born April 19, 1917 in Weymouth, he was the son of the late John Adukonis and Domicele (Masonis) Adukonis. Mr. Adukonis served in the United States Navy during World War II. He served on the U.S.S. Telamon as a Navy Diver and a Shipfitter. He received the World War II Victory Medal, American Area Ribbon, and Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon. Mr. Adukonis was a Shipfitter and had worked many years at the Charleston/South Boston Navy Yard. He also helped to build the Quabbin Reservoir in Athol, Massachusetts, which he was very proud of. He loved the sea and fishing and as a young man enjoyed to wrestle. He was a life member of the VFW Post #1046 in Brockton and a member of the Polish White Eagles Club in Brockton. He is survived by his loving niece, Pamela Asacker and her husband Peter of Raynham and his loving great-nieces, Nicole and Allison. Funeral Information Following cremation, Burial at Sea with full Military Honors will be held.
