John Andrew Biedermann, 92, of Long Island NY, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleboro. He was the loving husband of Lillian (Habenicht) Biedermann and caring brother of Audrey (Biedermann) Leeker.
Born January 11, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Harry Biedermann and Wilhelmina (Whitacre) Biedermann. He graduated from Pennsylvania Military College (PMC) in Chester, Pennsylvania on June 8, 1954, and from Basic Infantry Officer Course at Fort Benning on October 1, 1955. He served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army until 1957.
John was the owner and operator of Airweld Inc., a Welding Supply and Industrial Gases Distributor.
He enjoyed photography, golf, tennis, travel, ice cream, classical music and musical theatre, Rotary and Exchange clubs, his beloved New York Giants, and most of all, his family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bonnie Moran and her husband Paul, Rick Biedermann and his wife Maryanna, Kris Biedermann, daughter-in-law Claudine "Dina" Biedermann (spouse of late John P. Biedermann); his grandchildren, Hollis Moran and her husband Colby, Hope Kelly and her husband Kyle, Haven Moran, Kristin Biedermann, Jane Biedermann, Charles John "CJ" Biedermann, Harry Biedermann, Logan Biedermann, Dylan Biedermann and Luke Biedermann; his great grandchildren, Max Moran, Kaiden Robertson, Geo Robertson, Wesley Robertson and Sebastian Kelley.
Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 17 Main St., (Rt105) Lakeville on Sunday, September 14th from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Private graveside services for family members including Military Funeral Honors will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday, September 15th at 10:45AM. In lieu flowers, donations in John's memory would be appreciated to Compassionate Care Hospice, 100 Myles Standish Blv. #2, Taunton, MA 02780.
