John Breckner, 83, of Raynham passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. Born on January 13, 1938 in Mettersdorf Romania, son of Georg and Katherina (Thomae) Breckner left Austria in 1959 for the United States. John was self-employed as a Master Plumber in Avon as well as a member of the Planning Board. As a member of several professional associations, John was known and respected by many. John was the beloved husband of Roberta "Bobbi" (Dee) Breckner, and a devoted father. He is survived by his children John R. Breckner and wife Roxana, Eric A. Breckner and wife Donna, David B. Breckner, James A. Breckner and wife Jennifer, and step-son Mark R. Thomas and wife Kathleen. His grandchildren Ariana, Amanda, Eric Jr., Kaitlyn, Kristina, David Jr., Maribeth, Jessica, Madison, James Jr., and step-granddaughter Sarah; and his great-grandchildren Rylee, Eloise, Kayden, Liam, Gavin, Kole, Roman and Kylian. His nephew Maxwell Wassler and wife Rosie, great-niece Manuela Wassler and great-nephew Maxwell Wassler. John is pre-deceased by his son Michael E. Breckner, his siblings Sofia Thomae, Margaret Wassler, George Breckner, Michael Breckner and a niece Waltraud Neuhauser. John was adored by everyone and will be greatly missed. A Funeral Service will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Friday, June 25th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Calling hours are omitted.
