John James "BD" Dalton, 62, of Bridgewater, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Laura Jean "Laurie" (Nelson) Dalton.
Born January 21, 1959 in Boston, he was the son of the late William Dalton and Peggy (Andella) Dalton. He graduated from East Bridgewater High School in 1976 and received his Associates Degree from Massasoit Community College.
John worked in auto sales for several years. He enjoyed coaching basketball, hockey and baseball. He was an avid sports fan. He loved the Patriots, music, playing guitar, backyard cookouts, volleyball and campfires with family and friends. He especially enjoyed going to the beach with his wife and grandkids.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Andy Dalton, Shawn Dalton, Jenn Gill and her husband Mike Gill, Dave Nickerson and Matt Nickerson; his grandchildren, Wes, Jase and Graham Gill; his brother, Bill Dalton and his wife Jodi Dalton; his sister, Cheryl Amendola and her husband Jay Amendola; his brother-in-law, Scott Parker; his close family friend, Matt Corrigan; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Margaret (Dalton) Parker and Uncle of the late Jeremy Littlefield.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Thursday from 3:00PM-5:00PM followed by a brief funeral service at 5:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive, Suite # 602, Boston, MA 02215
