John A. D'Arpino, age 77, of Tiverton, Rhode Island and formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019.
He was born on April 5, 1941 in Brockton, MA and resided in Brockton and Easton before moving to Tiverton, RI. John graduated from Brockton High School and Dean College. John was the proud President and Co-Owner of South Shore Packing of Brockton and later President and CEO of D'Arpino Food Enterprises.
John was the beloved son of the late F. John and Philomena (Cerce) D'Arpino. Married for more than 52 years he was the loving husband of Carolyn (Holbrook) D'Arpino. John was the adored father of Lisa (D'Arpino) Niccoli and her husband Tom Niccoli of West Bridgewater and Stephen D'Arpino and his wife Tara (Mariani) D'Arpino of Norton. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his grandchildren: Alexandra Niccoli, Julia Niccoli, Isabella D'Arpino and John D'Arpino. He was also survived by his beloved sister, Maureen (D'Arpino) Masefield and her late husband Kerry Masefield, brother Louis D'Arpino and his wife Susan, Brother-in-law David Holbrook and his wife Kathy, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
John's passion in life was his grandchildren. An avid photographer, he was always seen with his camera in his hands documenting his family's precious memories. His hobbies also included cooking and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. John truly touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with and will sincerely be missed.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Christopher's Church, 1554 Main Rd., Tiverton, RI on Friday, Jan 11th at 10:00AM where there will be a funeral mass for the repose of his soul. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery, Whitman at 1:00PM. Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM.
