DiRenzo of Bridgewater August 6, 2006, John DiRenzo, 78 years. Husband of M. Joanne (Corcoran) DiRenzo. Father of Donna Myles and her husband Vincent of Brockton, Patricia O’Connor and her husband Daniel of Bridgewater and the late Jo-Ann Gardiner. Grandfather of Carl Gardiner, Jr., Amy Gardiner Bell, Ryan Gardiner, Vincent, Matthew and Courtney Myles, Sean O’Connor and great grandfather of Aidan John Gardiner. Brother of Anthony DiRenzo of Bourne and Oreste DiRenzo of Rockland.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday August 11, at 11:30 am in the Chapel of Mary at Stonehill College, N. Easton. Donations in memory of John may be made to the Hospice of Greater Brockton, 500 Belmont St.,Brockton, MA 02301.

Obituary

John DiRenzo died Sunday at his home in Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. He was born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late John and Lydia (Petroline) DiRenzo. Mr. DiRenzo. He had been a longtime resident of Brockton before moving to Bridgewater 11 years ago. He attended Brockton schools and was veteran of WW II serving in the US Army overseas in Korea and Japan. Mr. DiRenzo had been employed for over 20 years by the Massachusetts DPW until 1972, was a Court Officer in the Brockton Court System and had been self employed working at various odd jobs. He was a life member of the East Side Improvement. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, jeopardy, tinkering in his shed and time spent with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary J. (Corcoran) DiRenzo, his children, Donna Myles and her husband Vincent of Brockton, Patricia O’Connor and her husband Daniel of Bridgewater, his grandchildren, Carl Gardiner, Jr., Amy Gardiner Bell, Ryan Gardiner, Vincent, Matthew and Courtney Myles, Sean O’Connor and a great grandchild Aidan John Gardiner, two brothers, Anthony DiRenzo of Bourne and Oreste DiRenzo of Rockland
