Obituary

John A. Fabroski, Jr., of East Bridgewater died peacefully at home on December 9, 2023, at the age of 83. John was the son of the late John and Celestine (Drew) Fabroski and grew up in Brockton, MA. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and would join the Army soon after. In the early 1960's while on a double date, he was introduced to the love of his life, Joan Belmosto, whom he married on June 25, 1962. John and Joan lived in Brockton and Avon before settling in East Bridgewater, where they raised their four children. John always enjoyed working outdoors and, in 1968, founded Kris-Jon's Landscaping, now owned and operated by his eldest son. He was a lifelong outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, a passion he was most proud to share with his grandson, John. In the early 1970s, he co-founded the Standish Sportsman's Association in East Bridgewater where he served as president for many years, prior to being elected president of the Plymouth County League of Sportsmen and a delegate to the Massachusetts Sportsmen's Council. Besides the many impacts he made in the local sportsmen community, he was instrumental in procuring a conservation designation for many properties around the state and other successful endeavors to protect natural resources.

John is survived by his wife Joan Fabroski of East Bridgewater, his son John Fabroski III and his wife Nancy of East Bridgewater, his daughter Pamela Lonergan and her husband Scott of East Bridgewater, his son Kris-Jon Fabroski and his wife Kerri of Bridgewater, his son Timothy Fabroksi and his wife Renee of Halifax, and fourteen grandchildren who knew him as "Grumpa": John, Nick, Brianna, Scott, Mitch, Jake, Gage, Kris-Jon, Shane, Kody, Raquel, Dakota, Jordiss, and Ryder. He is also survived by his brother Richard "Rick" Fabroski of Beaumont, CA, and Elizabeth "Betty" Nickerson of Wareham.
