John D. "David" or "J.D" Fowler, 80, of East Bridgewater, MA passed away peacefully Thursday January 23,2025 after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.

He was the loving beloved husband and best friend of 55 years to the late Auguste (Cronshaw) Fowler. Born in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada, on September 15, 1944, he is the son of the late John D. and Julia (Bowdring) Fowler. David moved to the United States at the age of 18 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He achieved the rank of Sergeant and engaged in boxing during his tenure in the Air Force. In 1978, He moved to Brockton, Massachusetts to raise his family. He had a great love for God and Country. He spent his time singing, reading, and watching the Boston Bruins.

He was the loving father to Malicha H. Bonanca and her husband Paul of East Bridgewater, MA, and the late Malinda D. Cronshaw, of Fall River, MA, Stepfather to Peter S. Cronshaw of Sharon, MA, Christine E. Cronshaw, of Brockton, MA, Patricia A. Siple and husband Larry, of Idaho, James C. Cronshaw and wife Sherry of Brockton, MA. Brother of Charles E. "Doug" Fowler of Canada, Joseph C. "Neil" Fowler of Clemmons, NC and the late Robert J. "Jim" Fowler of Canada and John F. "Frank" Fowler of Bellingham, MA. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, as well as great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 S. Main St, West Bridgewater, Ma. From 5:00 PM-7:00 PM on Monday, February 3rd, 2025. Interment will be held the following day at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
