Obituary

John J. Gento, Jr. age 75 of North Attleboro, died February 10, 2021. John was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Brockton a son of the late John J. and Helen M. (Gordon) Gento. He had lived in the Attleboro area for over twenty years.

John was a longtime employee with New England Carpenters. He was a current employee of Napa Auto Parts. He loved watching sports especially the Patriots and attending musicals and plays. John also enjoyed fishing at Lake George, New York, trips to the beach and going out to eat.

John was a very proud and strong-willed man who will be remembered by all who knew him.

John was the father of Michelle Besarick and her fiancé Bill Holbrook of Rockland and the late Michael Gento. He leaves six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and was the brother of Jean MacFawn and her husband Bob of Brockton, Marie West of Liverpool, New York, Michaelene Panock and her husband Ray of Franklin, Kentucky and the late Wendy Elicky, Robin Noyes and the late Ronald Gento.

Memorial visitation will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street, Brockton from 11am-2pm. In following COVID guideline, masks must be worn and social distancing observed. There is a maximum of 40 people in the funeral home at any time.
