John R. "Jay" Hickey, Jr., 64, of Bridgewater passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Karen (Smith) Hickey.

Born May 5, 1959 in Brockton, MA he was the son of the late John R. Sr. and Jacqualine (Stigh) Hickey.

He enjoyed watching sports and listening to music. He also had a love for food and spending time with family.

In addition to his wife Karen he is also survived by his two daughters, Meghan Hickey and Erin Hickey; daughter in law, Randi and granddaughter, Ryleigh; two brothers Tim and Mike Hickey, and a sister Lynn Gagnon; a brother in law, two sisters in law, nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. He was also the father of the late Sean Hickey who recently passed away on December 22, 2023. John was predeceased by his brother Scott and sister Robin.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 6th from 12:00PM to 2:00PM in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St.,(Rt.28) West Bridgewater. Private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation www.cff.org
