Obituary

John Raymond Kenney, Jr., 83 years of Brockton, died April 25, 2008 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of the late Kathleen E. (Burke) Kenney. Born and raised in Brockton, son of the late John R. and Sadie (McKay) Kenney, he had been a life-long resident. John was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1942, and attended Boston College. He was a veteran of WWII, serving as a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps and stationed in England. For over 35 years John had been employed by New England Telephone Company, retiring in 1986 as a District Manager. He enjoyed time with his family, especially the summers spent at his home on the Cape.

He is survived by two daughters Noreen K. Giuggio and her husband John of Brockton and Tricia K. McCarthy and her husband Phil of Groton; three grandchildren Elizabeth and John Michael Giuggio and Jillian McCarthy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123), Brockton on Monday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
