John R. Mort, Jr. John R. Mort, Jr. , 79, of Hyannis, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Essex Pavilion in Hyannis. Born October 30, 1929 in Newton, he was the son of the late John R. Mort, Sr. and Anna (Sadler) Mort. Mr. Mort has been living in the Hyannis area since 1964. he was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing cards. He is survived by his children, Gerry McGuire, Deborah MacLeod, Jackie Bourgeois, John R. Mort, III, and Jenn Mort Maher. Funeral Information Calling hours will be held in the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Rd. (Rt 28) Marstons MIlls on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00PM followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 7:00PM.
