Online Obituaries John J. Munroe, Sr., 59, of Brockton, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was the husband of Donna L. (Thayer) Munroe. Born February 24, 1958 in Brockton, MA he was a son of the late William R. Munroe and Olive F. (Scott) Munroe. John was raised and educated in Brockton. He worked for many years in the construction business. In his free time John enjoyed camping in New Hampshire and hunting trips in the Berkshires. He also enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle as well as taking trips to the casino. John was a longtime member of the Enterprise Club in Brockton. He was devoted to his family. He loved spending time with his grandchildren every week. He will be missed by his family and friends. John is survived by his wife, Donna L. (Thayer) Munroe; his children, John J. Munroe, Jr. and his wife Bonnie, Jason L. Munroe and his wife Jenn and Jillian L. Munroe and her fianc Keith Gonsalves; his grandchildren, Jason Jr., Jailyn, John III, Jarrod, Joeseph, Angel and Jessie; his great-grandchild Dakota; his siblings, George Munroe, Stephen Munroe and his wife Heather, Doreen Grover and her husband Kenny, Mildred Ashley and her husband Steven, Olive Burr, Gail Arnold and her husband Steve, Cynthia Williams and her husband Barry, Dorothy Tosetti and her husband Ed. He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late William Munroe, Paul Munroe, Frank Munroe, Edward Munroe and Walter L. Munroe. Funeral Information Following Cremation a Celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, November 27th at the Enterprise Club, 224 Clinton Street Brockton from 3:00PM-8:00PM.
