John Nelson John Nelson , 75, of Hanson and formerly of Dorchester, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Born June 8, 1933 in Pikens, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Walter Nelson and Lucinda (Neal) Nelson. Mr. Nelson served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired Machinist and was an avid sports fan. He is survived by his children, Sharon Boatman, Jackie Nelson, Cynthia Rice, and John Nelson , Jr; his brothers, Walter Nelson and Earle Nelson; his sisters, Theresa Nelson and Lorine Nelson; his aunt, Deborah Nelson; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins and other family members and friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held in the Kingdom Church of God in Christ, 700 Crescent St., Brockton on Wednesday at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30PM. Calling hours in the Church on Wednesday morning 10:00AM-11:00AM prior funeral service.
