Obituary

John T. O’Sullivan, age 86, of Brockton, died peacefully at his home January 1, 2018. He was the husband of the late Nancy J. (Campbell) O’Sullivan. Born in Quincy and raised in Dorchester, John was the son of the late John M. and Daisie J. (Carey) O’Sullivan. He graduated from Gate of Heaven High School in 1950 and Boston University in 1964 with a degree in Business Administration. During the Korean War, John served with the Marines. He was employed by Boston Edison for 37 years and retired in 1992. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing golf while traveling and was a longtime member of the Brockton Country Club. He was proud of his Irish heritage, especially County Kerry, Ireland.

John is survived by his son John M. O’Sullivan of Brockton; stepchildren Patrick Galligan of Bridgewater, Paul Galligan of Middleboro and Sheila Galligan of Nashua, NH; several cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and his dog Paudie.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton Sunday, January 7, 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9:30am for a funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater at 10:30am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
