, 93, of Brockton, passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
Born September 3, 1917 in Taunton, he was the son of Peter J. Panacy and Gertrude (O'Hearn) Panacy. Mr. Panacy served in the United States Army during World War for 3 years in France. He was a member of the Brockton VFW Post.
Mr. Panacy worked for several years in Whitman as a Shipper for local shoe Companies. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Brockton.
John's father was the former owner of Peter's Lunch and his Uncle was the owner of Jimmy's Lunch both in Brockton.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Dunlap and her husband Terry of New York; his grandchildren, Crystal Chiccino and Terry Dunlap both of New York; his nieces, Joan Deveney of Sandwich and Jean Chapman of Wakefield; he is also survived by several great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Bernice Tunnicliff.
Funeral Information
A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Tuesday, December 14th at 11:00AM. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours Tuesday 10:00AM - 11:00AM.
