John A. Papagno John A. Papagno , 86, of Brockton, passed away Saturday evening, July 16, 2011 at his home at Hearthstone at Heights Crossing surrounded by his family and his favorite cat, Andy. He was the devoted husband of his loving wife,the late M. Lorraine (Callahan) Papagno. Born August 30, 1924 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Sabino Papagno and Mary (Brophy) Papagno. John formerly worked for many years at Stall Dean Company in Brockton as a Head-Shipper and after he had worked for many years at Hanson Printing Company. John was a lifelong Brockton resident and loved Big Band Music, Ball Room Dancing, Horseshoes, Billiards and going to the beach. He enjoyed spending time with his loving grandchildren and caring for his pets. He is survived by his son, Barry Papagno and his wife Iris of Easton; his grandchildren, Alexandra Papagno and her husband Joern Uhl and Derick Papagno. He was the brother of the late Catherine Mareb, Joseph S. Papagno, Nicholas Papagno and William Brophy. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Saturday, July 23rd at 8:00AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 433 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 9:00AM.
