Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Wednesday at 9:30am. Service at 11:15am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8pm. Obituary Information
Mr. Perkins died unexpectedly Friday evening at the Brockton Hospital after being stricken at home. He was born and raised in Moab Utah, a son of the late Hyrum and Edna L. (Dalton) Perkins. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy after 17 years. He was then employed for ten years as a mail handler in the South Boston Postal Annex until his retirement in 1997. He enjoyed collecting coins and repairing items.
He is survived by his wife Jean E. (Long) Perkins, two sons Mark and John Perkins, two daughters Mary and Linda Perkins, his step daughter Prendee Wint of Chelsea, 18 grandchildren, two brothers Clayton Baird of Tooele Utah and Paul Perkins of Apache Junction, AZ
He was the brother of the late Elizabeth and Ronald Perkins
