Slazas of Brockton July 4, 2005 John F. Slazas 75 years. Beloved husband of Evelyn J. (Arman) Slazas. Father of Cheryl M. Rizer and her husband George of Bridgewater. Grandfather of Christina R. Rizer of Bridgewater.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 8am. Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 9am. Visiting Hours Thursday 6-8pm. Burial in Melrose Cemetery.

Obituary

Mr. Slazas died Monday in the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a short illness. He was born, raised and educated in Brockton graduating from Brockton High School class of 1947.
John is a Korean Conflict veteran who served in Japan as a chef from 1951-53. After separation from the Army John returned to Brockton working for the City originally in DW Field as a grounds keeper and then working for the Brockton School system as a custodian where he retired in 1995.
John loved to meticulously care for his yard; dog racing; the sport of golf and the Red Sox.
