Online Obituaries John Kenneth "Kenny" Snelgrove, Sr., 69, of Brockton, passed away in his sleep of natural causes on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at his home in Brockton. He was the former husband of Kathleen A. (Stern) Snelgrove. Born January 14, 1944 in Brockton, he was the son of the late Aubrey Snelgrove and Virginia (Berglund) Snelgrove. A lifelong Brockton resident, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1962. He served in the United States National Guard. Kenny was the Chief Water Inspector for the City of Brockton for several years and retired in 2005. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending games with his family. He played softball for the over 40 league and also enjoyed playing pool and bowling. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his former wife, Kathleen A. (Stern) Snelgrove; his son, John K. Snelgrove, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Kathleen E. Snelgrove; his grandchildren, Noah and Emma; his brother, David Snelgrove and his wife Judy; his uncle, Chet Berglund and his aunt, Carol Andrews and his favorite grand dog, Oliver. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
