John G. Spadea, 74, of Cape Cod, formerly of Brockton, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, after battling a long illness and living a long and active life.

Born June 29, 1948, he was the son of the late Julia and Frank Spadea. He was survived by his wife Lori Spadea of 34 years and his children Gina Dupont & husband Mark of Brewster, John Spadea Jr. & Erica Fish of Brockton, Jimmy Spadea & wife Lindsey of Tewksbury. He was the brother of the late Joseph Spadea & late wife Gloria, the late Domenick Spadea & wife Nancy, the late Richard Spadea, the late Francis Spadea & wife Lynda.

John prided himself on being a loving and devoted Grandfather to Olivia Spadea, Christopher Dupont & Ryan Dupont and spending time with his many nieces and nephews.

After graduating Brockton Highschool in 1966, John spent over 40 years in the shoe business working for Converse, Dexter & Wolverine as a Sales Manager.

John was a founding member of Ocean Edge Golf Club in Brewster, where he spent much of his time golfing with close friends and family. His other passions included following Boston sports teams and traveling, especially to Hawaii and Italy.

Out of all of John's great accomplishments, John's greatest love was spending time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the combined Wake & Funeral Service on Monday, June 12th at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St, Brockton. Calling hours will be from 9:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
