John J. St. Onge, 84, a longtime resident of North Easton, MA passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton on January 17, 2022. Born and raised in Lynn, MA. He was the oldest child of the late John D. and Elsie M. (Brown) St. Onge. He attended Lynn public schools and graduated from Classical High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He would go on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Bentley College and a Master's of Business Administration from Northeastern University. He was a Certified Public Accountant. He was the Vice President of Finance for Hub Folding Box Company in Mansfield for 20 years until his retirement. John was a devoted member of the Salvation Army Lynn Corps reaching the level of company guard and was also a member of the Band. He was also a licensed ham radio operator and enjoyed woodworking. John was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Lynn. He was predeceased by his son, John J. St. Onge Jr, sisters, Sandra and her husband, Travis Jones and Jean and her husband, Robert Receputo and his son-in-law, Richard Murray. John is survived by Judith A. (Elder) St. Onge, his former wife for 53 years. His children, Patti and her husband, Charles Bockus, Ann Murray, Denise and her husband, William Urquhart, Scott St. Onge and fiancee, Katherine Sayers. His grandchildren, Chad and his wife Dakota Bockus, Alexander Bockus, Elyse Murray and Joseph West, Rachel Urquhart, Amanda and her husband, Mitchell Tilghman, John J. St. Onge III, James Valente and his wife, Sicheng, Kayleighanne Valente, his brother, Roy and his wife, Gloria St. Onge, several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services entrusted to the Russell & Pica Funeral Homes will be private.
