Obituary

John "Jack" S. Tobin John S. "Jack" Tobin, 76, of Middleboro and formerly of South Easton, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 under the care of hospice and his family at the Brockton VA Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Kathleen (Parker) Tobin. Born September 5, 1938 in Cambridge, he was the son of the late John Tobin and Mary (Costello) Tobin. Raised in Roxbury, he attended Christopher Columbus High, and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. He served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. Jack was a retired Boston Police Patrolman where he worked for several years. He enjoyed playing poker, travelling, sports and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Patricia O'Brien and her husband Thomas, Robert Tobin and his wife Alina, Kenneth Tobin and his wife Misuk and Timothy Tobin and his wife Grace; his siblings, Michael Tobin, Marilyn Fitzgerald and Ann Chafton; he is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Melvin and Stephen Tobin. Funeral Information Funeral from the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Monday at 9:30AM thence to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St., Brockton where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul at 10:30AM. Private cremation will follow. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 1:00-5:00PM.
