IN LOVING MEMORY OF
John F.
Valentine
February 7, 1942 – October 28, 2024
John F. Valentine, 82 of Bridgewater, passed away on October 28, 2024. He was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island to John Valentine, Jr. and Margaret (Heaney) Valentine. John was so proud to serve in the Marine Corps at Camp Lejuene in the early 60's. He was a volunteer firefighter for Fairlawn village in Pawtucket, R.I. He retired from the electric company after 30 years, most of them as an overhead lineman. For the past 20 plus years John truly enjoyed working at Olde Scotland Links Golf Course. He would arrive early at the golf course to raise the flag and salute it each morning. He was the beloved husband of 39 years to Kathleen (Bausman) Valentine, the loving father of Robert Valentine, wife Linda, Karen LaBrosse, husband James, James Valentine, wife Wistee, Donna Valentine, partner Chuck, and Kristen Valentine, partner Rocky. Grandfather of ten and Great Grandfather of five children. A friend to many, John was a gentle soul, with a truly loving heart, ready to help or assist others in need. Whether to stop traffic and guide an RV driver around a curve on a mountain road, or to stop at an accident to assure them he would stand-by. Yes, he was a volunteer. From my poem to you, entitled "YOU". "Your arms, strong and caring, a place of comfort. A harbor in which to anchor myself in a storm and know that I am safe in the circle of your embrace."
I miss you, I love you, I hold you in my heart forever. Your loving wife, Kathy. Services are private. For online condolences see RussellPicaFuneralHome.com Brockton, MA
