Obituary

John W. Venti, of Brockton, 77 years, died June 20, 2008 at his home surrounded by the family he loved, after a brief illness. Born in Rockland, he was raised and educated in Brockton, son of the late Joseph and Jennie C. (Marianni) Venti. John had been employed for 40 years as a stone mason, working with his father and eventually owned and operated Venti Mason Contractor. He had also been employed by the Brockton Housing Authority for 14 years until his retirement. John was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time at family gatherings.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Madelyn M. (Hayes) Venti; one daughter Lynne Cowan and her husband Frederick Jr., four sons Richard M. and his wife Kerry, Dr. Thomas J. and his wife Wendy, Michael J. and his wife Pamela and Stephen J. and his wife Donna; 15 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters Lillian Lemieux and Teresa Ciccone and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8pm.
