John R. Verdone "Johnny V", 72, of Westford, passed away on November 2, 2024 at CareOne in Wilmington surrounded by his children and family.

Born on July 30, 1952, in Brockton, he was the son of the late James Verdone and Ranghild (Freeman) Verdone. A mostly lifelong resident of Brockton, John was a proud graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School, Class of 1970 and earned an associate degree in law enforcement from Stonehill College.

Whether it was delivering for Sunbeam Bread or J.J. Nissan, or delivering cosmetics for Imperial Distributers, John enjoyed being on the road. He enjoyed playing golf, watching Boston sports, and playing cribbage. John was also Life Member of the Campello Veterans Fireman's Association (Enterprise Club), where he served as recording secretary for many years.

John is survived by his children, Lindsay Shupe of Lowell; James Verdone, and his wife Amanda of Bellingham; his grandson Matthew Shupe and granddaughter Molly Verdone; and countless cousins who he held as siblings in his life, most specifically Brian Nute of Carver, who he considered a little brother. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visiting hours will be held at Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street., (Rt123) Brockton on Wednesday November 6, 2024 from 10am-12pm. A service will immediately follow. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
