John J. Werra, Sr. John J. Werra, Sr. , 66, of Brockton, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Holland) Werra. Born December 9,1943 in Boston, he was a son of the late Joseph Werra and Loretta (Mansfield) Werra. He was raised in Boston and Weymouth and has been a Brockton resident for many years. John was a truck driver. He enjoyed football and was a big New England Patriots fan. He also enjoyed demolition derbies and entered in many at the Brockton Fair. Most of all he enjoyed his family and spending time with them. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Holland) Werra; his children, John J. Werra, Jr. and his wife Kim of Taunton, Joanne Woelfel and her husband Mark, Jimmy Werra, Michael Werra, and Richard Werra and his wife Bernadette all of Brockton; his grandchildren, Haley, Ryan, Chantelle, Jimmy, Tianna, Dannia, Tony, Adryanna and Sophia; his siblings, Joseph, Billy, Leonard, Tommy, Denise, Linda and Paul Werra; his sister-in-law, Jean Picardi; his brother-in- law, Richard Holland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Lenny Werra and the brother of the late Danny Werra. Funeral Information A funeral service will be held in the Russell Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt 123) Brockton on Thursday, March 11th at 10:00AM. Interment will be private.
